Signing in with passkeys
Face ID, fingerprint or Google, and how not to get locked out.
Honger has no passwords. You sign in with a passkey (Face ID, a fingerprint or your device PIN) or with Google. A passkey is saved on the device you made it on, and on others that sync with it, like your iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager.
Don't get locked out
Add a second way in as soon as you've signed up. Go to Settings › Account › Ways to sign in and either:
- add a passkey on your other phone or computer (sign in there first, then add it), or
- connect your Google account as a backup.
Signing in on a new device
- If your passkeys sync (same Apple or Google account), just tap Sign in with a passkey.
- Otherwise, sign in with Google, or choose the option to use a passkey from another device and scan the QR code with your phone.
Kitchen and counter tablets never need a sign-in. Pair them with a code instead.
